Automatic updates
When do automatic updates start?
Automatic updates start after you finish the setup and your first full import. After that, new customer and order changes in Shopify are sent to your CRM automatically.
Do Shopify changes appear in my CRM right away?
Usually they appear quickly, but not always immediately. It can take longer when many customers are being updated or when Shopify or your CRM is busy or unavailable. We cannot promise an exact completion time.
Can I close Shopify while an update or import is running?
Yes. The work continues in the background. You can return to Overview or Activity later to check the status and see whether anything needs your attention.
Imports and CRM connections
What if several Shopify stores use the same CRM workspace or organization?
This is supported, but those stores are updated one at a time. This helps prevent conflicts in the shared CRM account. A large import may therefore take longer than it would for stores connected to separate CRM accounts.
What happens if a full import and automatic updates run together?
That is safe. The app organizes the work and uses the latest customer information from Shopify. Automatic updates can make the full import take a little longer.
What happens if the CRM is disconnected during an import?
The import stops and waiting work for that connection is removed. After reconnecting the CRM, follow the instructions in the app to preview or start the import again.
Customers and contact details
Will a repeat full import create duplicate CRM records?
It should not. The app first looks for the customer it updated before. It can also use the Shopify customer ID and email address to find an existing contact. If the app cannot choose safely between possible matches, it stops that update instead of guessing. You should still check your CRM after an import.
Why can Shopify and CRM customer totals differ?
The numbers do not always measure the same thing. Shopify may reject rows in a customer file, the app may update an existing CRM contact instead of creating a new one, and some customers may need attention or be outside your plan limit. In Close, synchronized customers are Contacts. The number of Leads is therefore not the customer total.
Does Bidson CRM Sync receive customers that Shopify rejected during CSV import?
No. The app can only receive customers that Shopify successfully creates or updates. Correct the rejected information in your file and import it into Shopify again.
Where are email addresses and phone numbers written?
They are saved in the CRM's normal email and phone fields. In Attio they appear on People. In Close they appear on Contacts. Shopify and purchase information is saved in separate fields created by the app.
Does a full import delete CRM records or unrelated CRM data?
No. A full import creates or updates customer records. It does not delete other CRM information.
Problems and delays
What happens if one customer cannot be synchronized?
The app tries again automatically when the problem may be temporary. If it still cannot update the customer, the problem appears under Action required on the Activity page with instructions and a Support ID. Other customers can normally continue to update.
What happens if Shopify or my CRM is temporarily unavailable?
The app waits and tries again later. Your work remains saved. You usually do not need to do anything unless the Activity page says that action is required.
What should I send to support?
Send the Support ID shown on the Activity page, when the problem happened, and what you expected to happen. Do not send passwords, access tokens, complete customer files, or personal information that is not needed.
Timing and service terms
Is an import estimate a guaranteed completion time?
No. It is an estimate based on the work waiting at that moment. New updates, heavy traffic, or a problem at Shopify or your CRM can change the completion time.
Where can I read the legal service limitations?
This page explains how the app normally works. The Terms explain the legal conditions, including availability, third-party services, your responsibilities, and limits of liability.
- Keep Shopify as your main customer record and check important information in your CRM.
- Use the Support ID from Activity if you need help.
